YOUR MIND FATIGUES FASTER THAN YOUR BODY WILL 🔥 . I’ve learned that we have SO much more to give than our minds have us thinking we can. When I first started running- I thought that if I was suffering- that was enough- that it meant that I was doing my “best.”🙈 . You feel the first sensation of pain & think it’s all downhill from here- your pace slows, you accept it, & just brace yourself for the pain & slower pace. I had a martyr mentality - but without *any* benefits of being in the pain cave.🙄 Haha. . I’ve been learning to PUSH against the pain sensation & learning that there is still so much there once my brain tells my body it wants to quit. Your mind’s default mode is—stop girl, you’re soooo tired. But I’ve learned that my mind’s signals to my body have been cheating me - because there IS more there.😅 . ⚡️Now I am not content to be out there JUST suffering & hurting- I’m ACTIVELY coaching myself through it- pushing INTO the pain. It’s a totally different action while hurting. Instead of resigning myself to a slower pace & accepting defeat, I try to— . ⚡️relax into the pain ⚡️stay calm ⚡️& coach myself back onto pace. . 👉🏽Your mind controls your body. Never forget that. And YOU control your mind. So you can let your mind run wild, reiterate negative thoughts, keep telling yourself you’re fatiguing- or you can take back control & encourage & tell your mind what it needs to do. So be ACTIVELY coaching & encouraging yourself—because if you don’t fill your mind with those thoughts- the fatigue thoughts will try to take over. Remember who is in charge.
