The holidays tend to bring a lot of shopping and gift wrapping. While a fun and festive activity for some, many dread the idea of having to wrap gift after gift. If you seriously dislike wrapping gifts or simply don't have the time or ability to do so, we have a solution for you.
There are actually quite a few online stores that offer a gift-wrapping service! That means you can ship gifts directly to your loved ones without having to ship them to yourself first for wrapping. This is really convenient and can actually save you money in the long run. Though not every store offers this service for free, the ones that do charge don't usually ask for more than a few dollars.
To help keep your holidays as stress-free as possible, we've collected a list of stores that offer free or affordable holiday gift wrapping. We've also included a short list of stores that don't offer wrapping but let you send free messages with your gifts. Jump to the section you want to read here:
When you order from any of the following stores, you'll have the option of having your gift wrapped for free! This could mean having the item packaged in a nice branded gift box or having it literally wrapped for you with tissue paper and ribbons.
Net-A-Porter doesn't offer gift wrapping exactly, but their Signature Packaging is truly just as good. Their special packaging consists of an elegant black box with a big ribbon tied around it. You can select this packaging during checkout at zero charge!
Treating a loved one to some designer shoes or a handbag? If so, you can pay to have it wrapped for $6 per item or have it wrapped (for free!) in one of Kate Spade New York's complimentary gift boxes. You can include a personalized message with your gift at no charge. Please consult their website or reach out to their customer service team to determine if your item is eligible for a complimentary gift box.
Jared is a fantastic shop for those looking for stunning jewelry and watches. If you buy something from them, be sure to take advantage of their free gift wrapping. This option is available for all purchases made online or in-store (except for Citizen watches). If you're ordering an item online and having it shipped to a store for pickup, you'll need to request free gift wrapping at checkout.
Tiffany & Co. is known for their gorgeous jewelry, so it should come as no surprise that their packaging is just as lovely! All purchases from Tiffany & Co. come in a complementary Tiffany Blue Box that's tied with a white satin ribbon. You can also write a message at checkout to be included with the gift.
Want to ship some classy clothing to a loved one without having to wrap it first? Then Brooks Brothers is for you. They'll put your item in a gift box, but you need to choose the gift box option at checkout.
Most stores don't offer free gift wrapping, but plenty are willing to wrap your items for a few bucks. Here's a list of popular stores that offer gift wrapping at a very affordable price.
Sephora offers more than one gift packaging option for their cosmetics. You can choose between a black nylon bag with a red cord drawstring for just $3 or opt for their signature black-and-white gift box for $5. Please note that you can't have multiple items put into different boxes and bags. If you want to send more than one gift box/bag, you'll need to place separate orders.
Barnes & Noble offers gift wrapping for almost all online and in-store purchases, whether you're shopping for books, stationery, or kids' toys. If you opt for full wrapping with a box and ribbon, it'll cost $4.99.
Nordstrom has some of the best gift-wrapping options you'll find online or in-store. If you want something wrapped in-store using Nordstrom's wide variety of prints and ribbons, it'll cost $5. For online purchases, you can pay $5 for a DIY kit to wrap the gift yourself or $5 to have the item packaged in a reusable gift bag.
Some Bed Bath & Beyond locations have a gift-wrapping station with wrapping paper, ribbon, and tape where you can wrap your gift for free. If you're shopping online, you can pay to have your item wrapped in a nice gift bag for $5.99. Their gift bags come in a wide range of sizes, so there should definitely be one that fits the item you've purchased.
When shopping through their online store, it costs $5 to have your gift packaged in Ralph Lauren's signature navy box (available at checkout). You also have the option of adding a note, which Ralph Lauren will print onto a card to be included with your order. That said, if you really want a free gift box from Ralph Lauren, you can get one by placing your order through their app!
You can have your Crate & Barrel gift wrapped in one of their black-and-white boxes, with a branded ribbon, for just $5.50. You can either pay for one box for each item (at $5.50 per box) or pay $5.50 to have all your items packaged into one box. Please keep in mind that gift wrapping isn't available for Crate & Barrel's oversize and heavy items.
Gift wrapping is available for most items on Amazon. Their gift-wrapping service includes a box, ribbon, and card with a message. Prices vary depending on the size of the item, but the option usually costs between $3.99 and $5.99.
Sur La Table makes gift wrapping easy when you buy from their online store. During the checkout process, all you have to do is select the items that you'd like to be wrapped. The cost is $5.99 per item.
There are plenty of reasons to love shopping at Ulta. They have a great selection of cosmetics, lots of sales, and a gift wrap option for most items at just $3.99. To have your gift wrapped, remember to choose "Make This Order A Gift" in your shopping cart before you check out.
World Market offers an impressive variety of home essentials and decor. Though not all these items can realistically be gift-wrapped, World Market will package up select products for $5.50 each. You can also include a personalized gift message.
Not every store offers free or even cheap gift wrapping. That said, there are many shops that give you the option of hiding prices and/or including a free gift message with your item (including most of the stores listed above). This lets you add a more personal touch to a gift, even if you aren't able to wrap it.
